One third of the country is hit by floods every year, and cyclones are a constant threat. Many poor families without any land are forced to live in the flood areas. Here, water transmitted diseases and water pollution are widespread problems. 45 per cent of the population lives below the national poverty limit according to the CIA World Factbook.
The people of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) are facing the food insecurity, water and environment. In the CHT indigenous community peoples was over 50% but within decades non-indigenous population increased than their which is thinkable for future that indigenous peoples will exist, their culture, tradition and so on. As they are relying on the natural and are living in the hill side.
On other hand for the climate changing, become narrow the places of cultivation land, unproductive, huge populations, food insecurity and water crisis etc therefore they deeply upsetting how to survive, and how to preserve their tradition, culture and identity as an indigenous people within 30 years.
For this consequence he felt to do something for those peoples as can as possible therefore he initiated this Mong Foundation (MF). It is a charity and private non-profit foundation founded in
