What We Do
Currently Mon Foundation is performing for:
Focused: on indigenous children to those who are orphan, helpless, poverty, needy and
uprooted.
Objectives: Freely providing them the necessary things for their higher education from primary
and employed.
Regard it we are fundraising to
v Strive to give all orphanage children the opportunity to complete primary school;
v Mobilize local communities to get involved in their children's schooling;
v Build schools and provide foods, cloths and educational material.
Education
Schools and education provide both children and adults with valuable knowledge and skills. This also gives people a lasting foundation to help them better their own lives. In the fight to eradicate poverty, education is one of the most efficient tools. That is why Mong Foundation emphasizes education.
Why is education important?
When children and adults are educated, they also get a foundation to do something with their own situations.
What Education provides:
A foundation for stable financial development;
Knowledge that can improve people's health and social conditions;
Attitude changes and increased self-esteem;
An increased sense of belonging within the communities;
Through education, poor people are given self-esteem and a chance to manage on their own.
We call this "Self-reliance".

We want to eradicate poverty
Mong Foundation is a Charity foundation that working behalf of two orphanage namely Bangalhalia Agapara Buddhiat Welfare Orphanage (BABWO) and Sanghamita Sheba Sangha (SSS).
Our vision is a free from poverty in the CHT. We run long-term development work together with local partner organizations in the CHT. Our two most important tools are education and environment. By providing them with knowledge and skills, the possibility to access and achieve their basic rights as they can climb themselves.
Dignity and lasting results
Mong Foundation creates lasting change coupled with the tenacious efforts of the poor. At the same time we witness people gaining a sense of self-respect and pride from what they are able to achieve. This is important to us. Because pride, dignity and self-respect can not be given in the form of gifts – they come as fruits from the work invested by people in their own lives.
Locally employed staff in the regions
Mong Foundation has chosen to employ local people at the regional offices. This strengthens the organization in more ways than one. One of the positive effects is that the administration costs are lower. But the most important thing is that the locals know the area's culture, and they know where the help is needed the most.
Where does the money come from?
Mong Foundation is financed through means from individual, family and organizations and government contributors, both individuals and companies.
Core values
Mong Foundation promotes human dignity, justice, gender equality, participation, transparency and sustainability as strategic pillars in the fight to eradicate poverty. Mong Foundation builds its work on Buddhist values. We are, however, religiously and politically neutral in our work and when it comes to selecting partners.
